The Lohan School of Shaolin is a traditional martial arts school located in Las Vegas, Nevada. They teach the external systems of Northern Shaolin, Five family/ Five Animal style and Tai Chi Tong Long Praying Mantis. As well as the internal styles of Yang & Chen Tai chi, Hsing Yi, and Ba Gua.

In 1994, Steven founded the Lohan School of Shaolin in Las Vegas. What began with a few students in his garage blossomed into one of the city’s most respected martial arts schools, known for preserving traditional kung fu, lion dance, and internal arts. His school remains a cultural pillar in Las Vegas’s Chinatown and has been recognized by UNLV for its historical significance.

Born in East Los Angeles in 1953, Steven Baugh’s life was a testament to the power of martial arts as a path to strength, discipline, and spiritual growth. From an early age, growing up in the tough neighborhoods of South L.A., Steven sought a way to defend himself—but found something far greater. Living near Chinatown gave him access to the vibrant Chinese martial arts scene of the 1960s and 70s, and it was there that his journey truly began.

Steven has an accomplished list of teachers including GrandMaster Ark Wong, Dr. Carl Totton, Dr. Kam Yuen, Master Kenneth Hui and Master Doug Wong. His internal teachers include Masters Share Lew, Marshal Ho, Hsu Hong Chi and Steven Tang.

After Steven’s passing in 2019, the schools legacy is carried on by his son Raul Baugh and fellow Sifu’s Lance Brazil and Ezekiel Ortega. Supported by a dedicated group of seniors and senior instructors, students and parents.

They continue to perform martial arts demos and Lion Dances throughout the Vegas valley. Including shows at numerous casinos on the Las Vegas strip, festivals such as the recent EDC festival and anywhere where they can promote traditional Chinese culture and martial arts. This last Lunar new year the school did 43 shows in the month of February, with a total of 56 shows in a six week period.
