Sifu Jay Lima, originally from Sao Paulo Brazil started practicing Eagle Claw Kung Fu at the age of 16 with his first Sifu, Master Li Wing Kay. Three years later after many challenges and trials he competed in his first competition in both traditional forms and Sanda where he achieved first place in both. This was only the beginning for Jay Lima as this competition was only a mere stepping stone to what he will achieve in the future. In the years to come he won several national tournaments in his home country of Brazil. From there he went on to be champion of South America and Panamerica. Jay Lima did it all to the point where he started gaining recognition from Martial Artists and fighters from around the Americas but never forgot where he came from and who he owed it to, he always remained humble and stayed disciplined.

In 1996 he would go on to the biggest tournament of his life, The World Sanda Tournament. After fighting thirteen fights in three days he would go on to fight the strongest opponent he’s ever faced and become world champion by knocking him out. That same year he would meet Grandmaster Lily Lau of Eagle Claw and become her student. After meeting her she was so impressed with his skill and discipline that he was immediately offered the opportunity to teach at her new school in Concord California. Two years later in 1998 he won the First International Eagle Claw Cup for Sanda. In 2009 he would go on to open his very own school in Georgia. After that in 2018 he completed the Lau Fat Mang Lineage Eagle Claw System and was given his 7th degree black sash. Years later after working and having 40 plus years of experience in both traditional Kung Fu and Sanda he became Grandmaster Lily Lau’s Yap Moon Dai Zhi (closed door disciple). Today Sifu Jay Lima continues to teach the art of Traditional Eagle Claw kung fu and its discipline to young and old minds in the city of South Gate, California.
