Sifu Gordon Erquiza became a student of Grandmaster Bucksam Kong when he was 18 years of age in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was also a part of Bucksam Kong’s Siu Lum Pai Gung Fu Association lion dance team in 1991. He had since maintained a lifelong affiliation with Grandmaster Kong from 1973 until his untimely passing in 2024.

Sifu Gordon Erquiza has been an active part of the martial arts world his entire adult life, and although he maintains his residency in Los Angeles, California, he helped to establish Saam Fu Chinese Cultural Arts in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2011. He has traveled both nationally and internationally to teach, and mentor students of all ages in Kung Fu, Qigong, and lion dance. He continues to teach those who share his passion for the arts.
