
Western Boxing – Developed & trained as an amateur boxer; rigorously trained 6 days a week.
South China Lion-dance – Trained on weekends at the Los Angeles Lung Kong 4 Family Society under grandmaster Lew Wai; performed with the Lung Kong lion-dance team.
Northern Kung-fu – Trained in Northern Shaolin, Mi-Tzung Lo Han, & Tai-ji Mantis under Grandmasters Kam Yuen & Raymond Wong.
Kung Fu – Performed as a Shaolin monk in the groundbreaking television show ‘Kung Fu’.
“Masters of Hong Kong” – Organized 4 separate pay-to-see kung fu public exhibitions featuring a variety of kung fu styles and grand masters, i.e., Y.C. Wong, Chan Pui, Lee Koon Hung, Kam Yuen, Raymond Wong, Ma Bow Sim (Donnie Yin’s mother), Jimmie H. Woo, Dino Salvaterra, Johnny So.
Korean Hapkido – Trained Flying Eagle Hapkido under Sabunim Lee, Jung Bai Lee; Enjoyed the Korean-type kicking and self defense takedowns which Hapkido is known for.


East Wind Youth Foundation – Founded a no-fee kung fu & lion-dance school in Chinatown for low-income youth; the class grew and evolved to non-profit status; retired after 40 years of instruction and many high profile public and private performances of lion-dance and kung fu.
Tempt One ALS Foundation – Founded and organized a non-profit charity as a fundraising platform to assist ALS patients;
Tempt One Championships – With the support of friends, students, and various kung fu & karate schools, organized an annual tournament as a means to fundraise for ALS patients;
Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Federation – Founding board member of a collaboration with a dozens of kung fu & Tai-ji instructors in the promotion of traditional Chinese martial arts.
